Set at the heart of Millennium Park, Cloud Gate draws you in with a deceptively simple gesture: a perfectly polished surface that absorbs and reshapes the city around it. Created by Anish Kapoor and unveiled in 2006, the sculpture is built from 168 stainless steel plates, fused so precisely that the surface reads as one continuous, fluid skin.
