About

On William Street in Northbridge, Cuccini feels like the kind of place an architect would design for a dessert rush: clean white surfaces, a crisp flavour board, stacks of branded cups lined up with military calm, and that bright CUCCINI sign pulling you in from the footpath. The gelato has a family backstory that gives the scoops real identity. Their story begins in Tehran, with a father making ice cream at home and a childhood spent tasting and learning, especially the Persian flavour ideas that still show up in the way they build sweetness, perfume, and nut depth. One of the founders, Sam Mizan, even came to gelato through architecture, which explains the precision behind the counter. Order like a local: choose a classic, then add something that hints at saffron, pistachio, or rose logic. Go after dinner when Northbridge is buzzing, watch the line move fast, and leave with a cone that tastes deliberately made, not merely cold and sweet.
